      Btw, ca. 1960, at a theater in the round on Long Island, Woody Allen closed his routine by looking lovingly at an old pocket watch in his hand and saying, ‘This old watch means a lot to me. It belonged to my grandfather. On his deathbed, he sold it to me.’
