🙂 David 🙂 Thank you.
Beautiful, Sum & Ledoc. *** I am currently reading “Chaplin and the Woman of Paris” and found this quote, in much the same spirit. “That’s all any of us are: amateurs. We don’t live long enough to be anything else.”
Thanks for the 3-star rating, George. Regarding that quote. I think there are exceptions to the generalization, that there are some “pros” among us.
Haha that was a five star post but a three asterisk separation.
And that was an eight-star comment. Thanks, George.
If now is all we have, then we are all living forever. Does that make sense? Not sure. 🙂
Good question, LuAnne. Can an idea that appeals to intuition make sense to the rational mind? To be sure, I’m not sure, too. You know Emily Dickenson insists that forever is composed of nows, and Ludwig Wittgenstein that timelesness is eternal, and Hermann Hesse that eternity is a mere moment, just long enough for a joke. I think humans whose karma it is to transcend the spatiotemporal illusion, via any of the myriad ways, may become conscious of the creative bliss in living forever now, but relatively few of the species have time for it. 🙂
Not only are your posts delightful, CES. Your comments are, too! You made me smile this evening. 🙂
