When I was a wee lad and saw the film, Mary Poppins, for the first time, the song that resonated with me the most was “(Consistent is) The Life I Lead”. Still does, btw. I always saw the father as the most sympathetic character in the film. But yes, yes, yes, change is good and necessary, and all that. Great post as always, E Sum
